Everything Loses Life

   Hello again!
My mom and my brother and myself have gone back to America.
We went back because my grandpa and my uncle were in hospice.
But yesterday we went to my grandpas funeral.
Let me tell you from the beginning.
We got a call from our family saying we need to come home.
We did not know what to do.
My dad emailed every missionary he knew in Haiti.  1 of them responded and said he was bringing a team tomorrow morning,  so we went with them.  It was a really fun trip...
because we were all sitting in the very back of the plane.  The flight attendance were very nice...they gave the whole team and us 3 extra brownies and gave us first class cheese cake! We all liked him.
We spent the night in New York.  Right after we flew into Sioux Falls we were greeted by our GOOD friends the Todd family!  We got picked up by my moms dad and headed straight to hospice but we were 1 hour too late.  We saw lots and lots of tears that day.  But he is in a better place.

Misty

Well,  my mom and I were cooking up some home made soup.
There was a knock at the gate, so I ran outside the door.   It was Wilbert (Haitian friend.)
He asked for my dad, so I went in our back yard to get him.
After that I started helping my mom again.
My dad said "He wants to take us somewhere as a family."
So we left our cooking soup.   We went to a HUGE market 1 side was selling food and the other side was selling animals.   Wilbert kept on leaving us in the shade ( We did not know why.)
So he came back again and told my dad something.  Then my dad turned over and said" This is the point where we need to tell Abby."  So I leaned in and he said I was getting a ...HORSE!!!!!
I had tears in my eyes, but since we were in a HUGE market that means there was a lot of people so he did not want me to cry.  (It was hard not to cry.)   I have been wanting a horse my whole life.
I could not pick out a horse because we are white and they would raise the price.
All day long I was waiting for the horse a rive (I felt like they forgot they were going to bring her.)
Her name is Misty.  She has a first name a middle name and a last name it goes like this...Misty Blaze Breeze.
She has a little bit of an attitude.  She is not like a American horse because she does not like apples or carrots she likes...mangoes.  But she is a filly.  Misty makes a cute little noise when she sees me.
She is a baby and the Haitian's were already working her to the bone.  She needs some TLC (tender, loving, care.)
WHAT A GIFT FROM GOD!!!

Forming Something New

Today my dad and brother and I were walking down a path with our dogs.   I did not know where we were going.   Some of our Haitian friends went with us, Tikiline, Wilbert, and his son Rubins.
Then we arrived at a little home.   There were a lot of men working.   It was really cool because First we saw a man forming a cooking pot and smoothing it down.  Then we saw a man who had a HUGE hammer in his hand. He was hitting some old pots that people threw out and other metal things.  Our gal that cooks for us needed a big pot and they made Really big pots.  Logan said to her "You can make a whole lot of popcorn!"   Then they threw in the pieces that they broke into a barrel and melted it. After they threw them in, it became like liquid.  It was so hot you couldn't even look in it.  It is really cool how Haitians make things in Haiti.  (My dad has not started a blog on this yet because he said he has no pictures to show, so make sure to go to his blog and see the pictures when he writes it.)   They found all these thing that were garbage and made something new with it.  Just like God,  he made us out of dust.   And every day he makes something new out of scratch.   Is he not the coolest GOD ever!?

PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Our whole family went to a hospital because my mom had REALLY bad eczema infection and a lady had bad skin problems so we took her too.   So we were leaving and having a fun car trip.
When we were at the hospital we also waited and waited and waited hhh and waited.   The whole time we were there my brother and I asked for....COOKIES!!!   Me and my dad went out of a room and called a friend of ours (Mr doc Paul).   He went to go get the other doc to come and see us but again we had to...wait.   So Mr doc Paul offered to take me and my brother to his house and make a cake with him for a tea party.  Mom and dad said yes, so off we go.   We had to stop at a store and get some groceries with him.    I asked him if he ever had Haitian macaroni, but he said no.   He said do you know how to make it?   Well yes I do.  So he asked me if I would make some. I said yes!    It was GOOD!!
We also went up to ladies’ tea with his boys and 1 girl.   There were a lot of people at the tea party.
All the boys went down to play soccer (including me).   But we did not stay long because my brother and I weren't feeling good, so we went back up.   Before we knew it it's time to go!     As we were leaving, my brother got down on his knees and puked.   So now he is in bed lying down but he has no fever.   PRAISE THE LORD!
On the way home it was dark and the people think you can see them but you can’t so it’s crazy at night.
Again PRAISE THE LORD WE MADE IT BACK SAFE!!!

Bell

While me and my mom were cooking eggs,  my dad and my brother walked in with a bag that was making a noise.  My mom and I thought it was a fish because it was moving.  We walked with my brother and my dad to see what it was and it was a ................CAT!  A cute little baby cat.   She was scared  at first.  But now I am looking at her laying in a little cardboard box with a rope tied around her neck so she won't run away.  Bell means beautiful in Creole.  A friend of mine asked me in an email, "Why did I not see any cats while I was on a mission team?"  I told her it is sad because they eat cats in Haiti.  This is our VERY first cat in Haiti.  My mom and dad says Carmel and Bell will be good friends when they grow up.  Carmel REALLY wants to meet this Bell.  But not yet, she is still afraid of him.  Wow,  God sure does bless our family!

magnificent!!!!!!

One month ago, me and my dad were going to visit a missionary friend.  We were going there to return a cord that he let us use, to try to get wireless but it didn't work.  He was telling us about a tree, but a magnificent one.  This tree produced no fruit,  but its leaves are FULL of protein and vitamins!  There are not so many of these trees in America. But in Haiti they grow naturally.  You can't cook the leaves, or all of the good stuff will vanish.  My my mom makes an AWESOME salad with the leaves.  Some people put the leaves on top of their food.  This tree is like a market all in 1 place.  In Revelation it talks about a tree that produced 12 different kinds of fruit, think about it a different kind of fruit each month.  Maybe just maybe this tree is related?  I want to wait for that tree!  You would wonder how much does GOD care for us?  Well I can answer that quicker then a heart beat........A LOT!
Who wants to follow him?.....I DO!
