The Life of a Missionary Kid!

Sorry everyone... I haven't been writing for a couple months.  I have been sidetracked with family when I was in America.  Anyways back on what I wanted to talk about.  Today I woke up to the bright daylight of Wednesday at 6:25.  I got to read my books I got from the new library, which I love to do in mornings.  We had Bible Study and today it was my turn to read (with some awesome coffee!).  It was just a pleasant morning. I also got to see Misty my horse who is Pregnant! She was so gentle this morning when I groomed her.  I did all my school that was required of me, then I went out with my friends.  We went to the back and started working our tails off.  We were raking leaves with a plastic broken rake, a metal rake, and 2 branches of coconut.  And so my friends Onaldine, Lovely, Oberline, and I went to clean the leafiest yard that ever lived to be:)  the leafs here are bigger than two of my hands!  We raked and raked with my horse in the pile we made...naughty little cutie!  After we were done in a section of yard we burned the pile.  We had a jug of water and everyone had there fill except Misty.  I took my cup, filled it with water, and put it to her lips.  The first cup of water I gave her she was wondering how to drink it.  The next time she grasped the cup and didn't spill a drop.  The water was colder than she normally has so she shivered all over!  My friends thought this was just outrageous and
laughed.  Then the sun was high and therefore too hot to work in so we went inside and gave them bread.

Then after we ate my dad and I went to Arise Haiti, also known as Jame's house.  We talked and talked for about 3 hours.  Most people would think I was bored out of my mind, but I love to listen to serious matters.  When we went home on the moto is started sprinkling and the wind was cold so I tried to stay straight behind my dad for shelter.  We reached our house and my friends were waiting to go out and work some more.  Then again we raked and raked and swept and swept.  Lovely wanted it to be black black dirt for my dad.  It was getting dark when these 2 naughty teens came forth and tried to talk English with me.  I could not understand them at all, they were mixing their sounds up.  The girls and I were in a fast mode to complete the work before the moon rose so the boys were a big distraction.  So we started burning our leaves, we could not see if the job was done for it was very dark out.  We were alone until my mom came out saying this was WAY to late.  We had three big fires going, but Wilber started 2 unexpected ones.  My mother was worried because a palm tree was in the fire.  So we got my dad and it was fine ( which I told her).  In the end everyone was happy (except for two blisters of mine), it felt like we have accomplished a great task.  Once our family was in and showered I still smelled like smoke:(. That is the end to this little story I hoped you enjoyed it!  I did not write it just for you but God, for he is always watching you and guiding you like a shepherd, and loving you like a father.  We should all be thankful for a God like him!
